ZniusKids-NumberStar Lite app for iPhone and iPad

Number Star Lite is designed primarily for kids but can be used by anyone to learn numbers in fun and easy way. Number Star covers number learning in five dimensions to achieve 5 star skills. Number Star provides visual number representation to learner in form of group of objects that helps them remember numbers for further developing early mathematical skills: such as quickly identifying numbers, identifying missing numbers in sequence and comparing numbers to identify smallest and biggest numbers in a group.

** Number Tracing

Number Tracing introduces numbers with unique star animation to demonstrate the direction of number tracing. Numbers can have multiple tracing cycles to complete the tracing. Completion of each number tracing provides motivating feedback to promote the learning activity and encourages the learner to continue learning more numbers. Number tracing screen provide two options in the upper left corner: Home to navigate back to star selection screen and Replay to repeat the number tracing animation for guidance. Each number shows a picture next to it to provide more meaningful representation of number using group of real world things that matches the number. Touching the picture reveals the pronunciation to refer to the group of objects.

** Number/Picture Recognition

Number recognition helps the learner master the recognition skills by prompting to touch a random number. Picture recognition helps the learner recognize group of real world objects that matches with the number. Picture recognition screen prompts learner to touch the picture that has specific number of objects. Feedback is given to the learner if a choice is made incorrectly. Positive feedback is provided to motivate the learner to master recognition skills. Once a correct selection is made, a real world object is revealed to provide real world visualization for group of objects. ** Sequence Recognition

Sequence recognition helps the learner recognize the number sequence. Sequence recognition screen prompts the learner to touch the missing number in the sequence. Feedback is given to the learner if a choice is made incorrectly. Positive feedback is provided to motivate the learner to master sequence recognition skill. Once a correct selection is made, number is revealed that will replace the missing number in the sequence. Comparing numbers skill comes natural in every child and kids use them in everyday life for example more number of candies are always desirable. Comparison skills helps the learner master comparison skills to rationalize numbers. Comparison screen prompts the learner for identifying smallest or biggest number (randomly, one at a time) among a group of numbers. Feedback is given to the learner if a choice is made incorrectly. Positive feedback is provided to motivate the learner to master comparison skill.
